Dear O'Brien
I just write this letter because I read your novel of "The things that carried". I think that your novel is really interesting about how to describe the life of the soldier's during the war. You gave so many examples about the soldier's felings. I think that poeple can't imagine the situacion that soldiers face in the war and with this nobel we can learn or understand much better the problems or anguish soldiers had to deal with everyday. Also this nobel could be in memory of the every soldier who were in the Vietnam war.

defferent of school and war.
For me the school is really different than war because you don't risk the life. We came to school to learn new things. Sometimes classes are difficult but if you study you can be successful. The only thing that students don't like is that teachers gave lot homework. This is not an obstacle to let your goals or graduate of high school. I don't know how the life of soldiers in war but I is imagine that is hard to them. They need to go to another country to fight in war. They leave their families and they don't know if they are going come back to home. The only experience in school that I can compare with war is when I had fail in my English class. My mom gets mad with me.
